Mercy Park Project Construction Moving Along Smoothly | LDG Consulting Asked to Increase Scope of Work

December 2017 | Chamblee, GA

Earlier this year, LDG Consulting was selected as the Owner’s Representative during the construction phase of the Senior Residences at Mercy Park – a 79-unit affordable housing development located in Chamblee, Georgia. We’re pleased to share that the construction is moving along largely as expected. “Every project has its nuances, challenges and obstacles to overcome. Overall, the project is moving along relatively smoothly,” says Alrich Lynch, Partner and Senior Managing Director at LDG Consulting. “That’s why it’s critical to have someone like LDG on deck to ensure everything still continues to move on time and on budget for you.” In fact, Mercy Housing Southeast loved LDG Consulting’s work so much that they asked them to increase their scope of work. “We love it when clients appreciate what we do! It is our pleasure to give the very best service possible to ensure we help clients not only achieve the best ROI they can from a project, but also that their experience with us is professional, smooth and solid.”

LDG also brought in an excellent sustainability consultant – The Dragon Group – to advise on the addition of a solar panel vendor. Randall Dragon of The Dragon Group and Alrich have known each other since college. “Randall helped us pick the company that did the installation and ensured everything was sole-sourced and done properly.”

This project is an impressive partnership of community commitment and love between Mercy Care and Mercy Housing Southeast – one of the largest affordable housing organizations in the US founded in the 80s by the Sisters of Mercy and located in Denver, CO. Mercy Care will ultimately provide a LEED SILVER health care facility right next door to this senior housing project. Situated on a 1.6-acre site in northeast Greater Atlanta, this four-story multi-family development will ensure that those 62 and older who are of low-income, disabled and / or veterans have an outstanding place to live with the best of medicinal care at their fingertips.

As the Owner’s Representative for the construction of Mercy Park, LDG Consulting will serve as an extension of the Mercy Housing Southeast’s staff, providing critical guidance throughout the lifecycle of the project and protecting their interests at all times.
